P.3 Accelerated Reading Awards
Again a great effort made this week in Accelerated Reading. We all know that keeping up with our reading is so important.
I’m delighted to see you are all able to access books at home so a big thank you to parents as well for helping with this. I know it is a team effort!!
Most read words this week are...
Conall Carr: 48, 630
Niamh McCusker: 34, 304
Halle Fegan: 32, 672
Ryleigh O’Hagan: 31, 422
Thomas Mccusker: 20, 378
Eloise Corr: 15, 672
Darragh McGeary: 18, 192
Emma Woods: 12, 443
I know that some of you are reading longer novels and haven’t had the opportunity to take quizzes yet. Also some of you might be reading books that may not be on the A.R system. But it is important to just keep reading children. Find topics that are of interest to you and/or maybe an author you like. Just take advantage of this special time at home.
I have chosen 4 special girls as Star readers this week:
Halle Fegan, Ava Mallon, Shona Quinn, Anna Toal
Well done girls for making that extra special effort this week.
Four more children have reached their targets this week so congratulations to …
Lily-Kate Cox,
Halle Fegan (what a week you are having Halle!!),
Darragh McGeary,
Ryleigh O’Hagan.
Again a special mention to another girl who is having a great week ,,, Emma Woods – who has managed to double her target already. Well done Emma.
It’s great to see children you are still reading on even though you have reached your targets.
I am very proud of the effort you are all making. Remember, you are all going at your own pace with your individual targets to reach so keep up the great work and just remember to ENJOY!!
Again a big thank you to all the parents and helpers as this wouldn’t be possible without you. Your children will thank you,,,one day!!
Have a lovely weekend Children. Take a well-earned rest and Keep safe!
