On Friday 9th October afternoon, pupils from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 celebrated the great effort made during the first full week of our Accelerated Reading programme. Ordinarily, these awards would take place as a whole school community in the assembly hall. However, this year our accelerated reading awards are a little different as we now have separate awards in four classrooms on a Friday afternoon.
Firstly, one pupil from each class received the “Star Reader” award for making a particular effort with their reading. Last week, the winners were:

After only two weeks, a number of pupils have already met their personal target for this term securing their place to the school cinema day later in the term.
