On Friday 6th November, pupils from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 celebrated the great progress made in our Accelerated Reading programme.
Firstly, one pupil from each class received the “Star Reader” award for making a particular effort with their reading. Last week, the winners were:

As a result of the great effort made with accelerated reading, we saw more pupils reaching their personal target for this term securing their place to the school cinema day, which will take place in the month of December. A fantastic achievement in the first week of Accelerated Reading!! Incredibly, P6 pupil Ellen McKenna has now quadrupled her personal target and reached the milestone of becoming a word millionaire. Ellen has read 1,410,933 words since the beginning of the programme. Enjoy spending your well earned prize Ellen.
