P4 Accelerated Reading update

19th Jun 2020

Good morning boys and girls and welcome to our last online Accelerated Reading update this term.

Today marks the end of our Accelerated Reading results being published online, hopefully 🤞🤞🤞 your next set of results will be delivered to you personally in school, by a teacher, accompanied by raucous applause and the necessary sweets 🍫🍬🍭.

You should all be very proud of yourselves for achieving so much under very difficult circumstances. It was no small feat to work so diligently each week without friends or myself beside you to guide, encourage and reward you.

Once again this week we have children who have reached their targets and have continued to work on and improve their scores:
                                                                      Kacey Cox+29

                                                                     Leah Fegan +49

                                                                     Annie Green +17

Leila Hughes +12

Claire McElvanna+10

Sarah McKenna + 36

Finn Morrissey +20

EllieRose Rafferty +24

A massive well done to everyone mentioned above and everyone in P4 who has worked consistently hard week on week.

This week we have 4 children who continued to work really hard and were rewarded by reaching their targets. As I said many weeks ago children that this was a marathon not a sprint and I’m delighted to see so many of you persevered and can delight in your achievement.

This week we celebrate:

ANNIE GREENE

JACK LAPPIN

LUCY SMITH

ELLIEROSE RAFFERTY

A massive well done children, you deserve to celebrate your achievement.

This week I have chosen 4 children as my STAR READERS as they have shown commitment and perseverance each week to reaching their targets or improving their scores:

SARAH McKENNA     RIOGHAN GRIMLEY       KACEY COX     and    AMELIA KIERNAN

Well done children you should be very proud of yourselves.

Children please don’t forget to thank your families and everyone who has helped you over the last three months.

This has always been a team effort.

Lastly children please try and read over the summer holidays - comics, sports pages, anything that interests you.

Have a wonderful, happy and safe holiday and we’ll meet up in school in September and reflect on this strange time.

Keep safe and happy children and God bless.

Mrs Smith.
