Accelerated Reading Awards Friday 20th November

On Friday 20th November, pupils from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 celebrated the excellent progress made in our Accelerated Reading programme.

Firstly, a pupil from each class received the “Star Reader” award for making a particular effort with their reading. Last week, the winners were:

  • Eoin Hughes (P3)
  • Emma Woods (P4)
  • Jack Lappin (P5)
  • Sean Lappin (P6)
  • Maisie Comiskey (P7)

 

Special prizes were also awarded to pupils who achieved exceptionally high word counts:

P3 Word Counts

1st - Ellie Smith (5,639 words)

2nd - Emily Carroll (4,299 words)

3rd - Aria Fahy (3,035 words)

 

P4 Word Counts

1st - Eloise Corr (48,465 words)

2nd - Conall Carr (39,316 words)

3rd - Ryleigh O’Hagan (26,012 words)

As a result of the great effort made with accelerated reading, many more pupils have now reached their personal target for this term securing their place to the school cinema day. Well done to Eva Toal, Rionach McArdle, Tadgh Grimley, Christopher Corr, Philip Carr, Brannagh Smith, Aaron Hughes, Annie Greene, Kacey Cox, Caela Stapleton and Victoria Squires.

 

The effort made with Accelerated Reading last week has been brilliant. Keep up the fantastic reading boys and girls so that you can all reach your target and enjoy a movie day next week.
