Accelerated Reading Awards

On Friday 1st May, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the third week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.

Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with with a Star reader certificate. This week the star readers were

• Ciaran Molloy
• Aaron Grimley
• Ella Toner
• Cathal Maguire
• Shane McGurgan

Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:

• P3 Eimear McGeary 68,000 words
• P4 Roise McGeary 57,000 words
• P5 Dawn May Smith 74,000 words
• P6 Jamie Smith 106,000 words
• P7 Shane McGurgan 81,000 words

Many more pupils have reached their personal targets for this term securing the third part of their ticket to Indianna Land.

Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard!
