P2 Information for Parents 01-04-20

Dear Parents,
I hope you and your families are all keeping safe and well during these worrying times.
I would just like to touch base with you now that you have hopefully got to grips with the home schooling of your child. I am sure it has been a tough and challenging task at times but all we can ask is that you do your best during these unforeseen and difficult times. I am currently in the process of setting up a class Dojo account which will allow us to communicate through this platform. Once I receive all parental emails we will set up the service and hopefully be up and running by next week. This will allow you to contact me with any concerns or questions.
With regards to reading, I hope you have all been able to access Oxford Owl E-Books. I just want to update you with a list of books that you can access on Oxford Owl from the same reading scheme that we use in school. Unfortunately not all books from the scheme are online however the following books are:

Children may start to read the books from the yellow level and once completed move onto the Blue Level and so on. Each book also has two short activities that the children can complete once they have finished reading the E-Book.

With regards to Sumdog, it is fantastic to see most children have been logging on and completing activities and games. This week I have set a Primary 2 Challenge and children have until Friday afternoon to complete this. Well done to Ella Tighe, Ellie Smith, Sarah Mc Garvey and Tony Mc Cann who have already competed this challenge. 

Well done to everyone for all their hard work with school activities and continue to stay safe.
