Accelerated Reading Awards

On Friday 15th October, pupils from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 celebrated the fantastic effort made in the Accelerated Reading programme this week.

Firstly, one pupil from each class received the “Star Reader” award for making a special effort with their reading. This week, the  winners were:

  • Katie Maguire (P4)
  • Lily-Kate Cox P5)
  • Ellie-Rose Rafferty (P6)
  • Annie Smith (P7)

 

Special prizes were also awarded to pupils who read an exceptional number of words this week:

After four weeks, a number of pupils have already met their personal target for this term. A super achievement at this stage of Accelerated Reading! Well done to Eva Toal, Eabhí Woods, James Carroll, Rachael McCann, Siena Woods, Eloise Corr, Regan Smith, Donnacha Breen, Emily Carroll, Aria Fahy, Eoin Hughes, Victoria Squires and Matthew McGoldrick. You could now work towards the goal of doubling your target for the remainder of this term! A special well done to Páraic Smith who has already doubled his target this week!

 

Thus far the effort made by pupils has been brilliant. Keep up the super reading at school and at home boys and girls.

 

Finally, a special congratulations to the P7 pupils who received Mr Hart’s beautiful prizes for excellent achievement in the most recent Sumdog competition.
