On Friday 23rd January, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the second week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with with a Star reader certificate. This week the star readers were

- Niamh McGuinness
- Ronan Greene
Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts. This week the winners were:
Primary 3: Cadhla Tohill - 21,045words
Primary 4: Caitlin McElvanna - 108,202 words
Primary 5: Danu McKinney 96,557 words
Primary 6: Niamh Maginess: 103,384 words
Primary 7: Niamh McElvanna - 154,730 words
Unbelievably, some pupils have reached their personal targets for this term securing the second part of their ticket to Indianna Land.
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard!
