On Friday 24th October, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the sixth week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded withk with a Star reader certificate. Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts. This week the winners were:
Primary 3: Cadhla Tohill - 13,500words
Primary 4: Dylan Crilly - 29,500 words
Primary 5: Danu McKinney 31,000 words
Primary 6: Kerrie Morgan: 83,000 words
Primary 7: Niamh McElvanna - 127,000words
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard work over the Halloween break!
